Unfortunately, not every website visitor will be using chat for valid reasons. Some might be spammers, and some might be offensive or abusive towards your agents.
The WhosOn user blacklist feature helps you deal with these instances quickly and efficiently. To deal with problem chat users, WhosOn allows you to:
• Pre-emptively react, with rules to ban expletives and block offensive pre-chat survey entries
• Block abusive users within active chat sessions, either temporarily or permanently
• Prevent the user from re-engaging under a different name, with an IP-address block
• Ban unwanted users after a chat has ended, by adding their IP address to the user blacklist
• Extend the blacklist to agents repeatedly entering incorrect passwords, for security purposes
