WhosOn is designed with security in mind. It comes with dynamic blacklisting that triggers in response to suspicious activity, to prevent intruders accessing your chat service.
Intrusion prevents protects you from brute force attacks, while whitelisting allows you to control access to WhosOn. Here are the details:
• WhosOn automatic blacklists IP addresses that fail to authenticate repeatedly
• Access can only be resumed via direct contact with our in-house technicians
• You can also manually add IPs to a permanent blacklist
• Blacklisted IPs are blocked for logins, chats, gateway requests, web services and charts
• You can also whitelist company IP addresses. For additional security, the internal chat interface and internal gateway interface only accept connections from whitelisted hosts
